Except that she was an American, I knew not much else about Queen Noor, but had been curious as to why she made the choice to marry King Hussein. Since I know as much about Middle East politics as I did about her, this book was a sure thing. Of course the palace intrigue is both amazing and creepy, but the country, culture, and customs made mw want to know more.
